Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
The Child Nutrition Department is responsible for providing and preparing meals for students and faculty. Senatobia Municipal School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and is responsible for accepting and processing lunch applications.
Students have the opportunity to enjoy lunches filled with a variety of food selections. Each day students in grades K-12 are offered choices of entrees, vegetables, fruit and breads. New foods are introduced to stimulate their taste buds and interest in school lunch while providing nutritious meals for academic achievement. The Offer Versus Serve provision is offered in all grades. This allows for students to decline meal items if they wish.
